This is another in my series of small flower paintings, to welcome the beginning of Spring.

The flowers are called Ranunculus, and start appearing in March. they're some of my favorite flowers- partly, I think because they remind me that summer is on the way!

This painting has deep crimson blooms, on a Wedgewood Blue background.

The painting is on a small canvas covered board, which can be framed (it would look great in a white wooden frame), or left as it is, and propped on a shelf or dresser.
